It’s so insidious how often women are encouraged to date people they are literally just not sexually attracted to and it really elucidates how common it is for people (meaning, including women as well as men) to just not consider the sexual needs and desires of women to be important. There are very obviously tragic examples such as encouraging lesbians to try to date men, but I mean down to the very common notion that a woman turning a guy down because she isn’t attracted to him is “shallow” or a bad thing to do. Too many women deeply internalize this really harmful idea.
